Amanti Della Cucina was inspired over ten years ago by a comment made between friends over lunch at Toronto’s Ristorante La Fenice, “It would be great if a few guys got together to cook some pasta and share a bottle or two of good wine.” From this simple idea Amanti Della Cucina has evolved into a Canadian-based organization with Italian roots and connections that is dedicated to celebrating, preserving and sharing the culinary traditions of Italy’s twenty diverse regions.
Starting with four founding members, our Toronto area member shareholders have expanded through our Grembuile Rosso (Red Apron) program to more than three times that number. With a wide range of professional, business and cultural backgrounds and with varying culinary and oenophilic skills, we all share a common and singular passion for la cucina italiana.
